Something new in my tank...

I just noticed yesterday that I had all these round, white, spots on my glass. They are about 1/16" in diameter and very a bit in size. The only thing I have for livestock in my tank right now is cerith snails and blue legged hermits. The snails are always on the glass, always riding on each others back (not sure if that's normal or not). Any ideas what it could be?

Do you just scape them off? Weird how things just appear in a matter of hours

Maybe some type of calcerous algae...

When I look really close, some look like a clear/white egg. And some are in the shape of a cinnamon bun

There are also small tubeworms that seem to colonize the glass of a newish tank. They tend to go away from the main display glass (the glass gets cleaned presumably) but they do tend to stick around in places like sumps or on submerged plumbing, powerheads, etc.

Signs that your tank is progressing along ...

I've got the same, was told they're a filter feeder(seem to apear out of nowhere)
You'd be surprised what you see when you actually sit and look real close(I sit with a magnifying glass  )
