reeflo snapper ???

ive been researching pumpps forthe 180 and all adds no mater what the pump is says quiet running. this tank is going in my livingroom last thing i want is a loud hum comming from the tank. thus far i have beenusing in sump pumps, quietone 4000 to be exact. and i love the silent operation. does anyone here use this pump that can give me some input id hate to purchase and hate it.

I have a snapper on the FOWLR, Jeff. It is very quiet, hardly hear it run at all.

I know it's not a Snapper, but I have Darts and they are far from silent. That being said they all make a varying amounts of noise. The Snappers may very well be much quieter.

I run the 6000 version and its pretty quiet. It's the quietest pump I have.

that is what worries me i have heard a dart in action and since i dont have fish room i cant afford to make a bad purchase and hate it. i will be insulating the stand for noise reduction but that will only work so much.

i am also looking at the 6000 i know those pumps are quiet just worried it wont have enough flow for the tank with the way im plumbing it. and ive read the quietone 9000 are noisy

Yes the snapper is quieter then that one but maybe you sould look into the Sicce pump. I hear they are the pump of all pumps.

I have the snapper hybrid, there's a definite hum but it isn't too obnoxious. My sump is plumbed to my basement so I'm not sure if it would bother me if it were in my living room or not...I'm thinking not too bad.

these look promising a little pricey but if they are silentas they say then it may be worth it

I also hear that Iwaki (the one made in Japan) is a very quiet pump. You might want to check it out.
