I think Fantasy Aquatics on Kingsway near Slocan has a Harlequin shrimp. It would looooooove your tank:wink:

they are algea driven if you have lots for them to eat then even if you got rid of most of them in no time you will be back to where you are now. They divid and control the algea that way if the food supply dries up then they simply start dieing off till there is a balance. I would look in to controling algea grouth my kids tank gets tons of them when they all decide to feed the fish for a while. They don't know when the others are feeding the fish. water change will help also.

Jason (Jdarr) bought a couple of Harlequin for same issue and he just told me they dont eat brittle starts, I will try bumble bee shrimps

While I don't find the large population of mini brittle stars to be a problem in my tank I have frequently observed my Ornate Wrasse (Halichoeres ornatissimus) controlling their numbers. He's a jumper though so beware.

My Coral Beauty cleaned mine out in a matter of weeks. Same with feather dusters. Control would have been nice, this was everything.

I had a Coral Beauty for about a year, she didn't touch starts at all!
