Reef-Rat Evolution
Still alive and kickin', been busy with all sorts of projects but figured I'd let you see where the Reef-Rat design is at.
http://pages.infinit.net/lambertv/images/dsc01429.jpg Rat head-on... all dressed in black now http://pages.infinit.net/lambertv/images/dsc01428.jpg Rat with Euro-Brace/Acrylic tank mounting bracket http://pages.infinit.net/lambertv/images/dsc01427.jpg The Jet-Nozzle has undergone some mods.... i.e sch80 pipe to boost pressure and nozzle speed. http://pages.infinit.net/lambertv/images/dsc01426.jpg Pretty ordinary looking power cord .... http://pages.infinit.net/lambertv/images/dsc01425.jpg Actually this is a 24vac jack... inherently safe low voltage. A big plus if you worry about stray voltage and dipping your equipment occasionally... Basically these new Rats are dressed in black and are 24vac... can be used with a wall plug power transformer anywhere in the world.... |
Have you figured out price and delivery ?

Not yet.... Have a second unit in the Rat-Werks and it should be completed by weeks end.
Basically I'll let them run for a few weeks first. The design is proven, it's the new motors and wall adapters that I'm out to durability test. My high time Reef-Rat is a 2 rpm unit and it was a year old last October, so I guess that's a good sign eh! Van |
Nice changes from the originals ReefVan!
I like the new euro-brace mounting! |
