Bored and thinking how..
How does everyone justify expensive items for their tanks.
|
It's called "Forgiveness"
Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission :) |
Hummm, I guess depending on what it is you could say " Geez I have a billion dollars worth of corals in there and if I don't buy it they all could go for sh$t " .... Then again once a person gets in too deep what does it matter...lol . Like my light situation, I have gotten along to this point without a fancy dancy light but I know things would be better with an upgrade and have lost some corals due to lack of light,,,,,It is a tough question to answer for sure.....

But I agree with you Brett, I can find a dozen reasons for needing a bigger or even another tank. |
I think he meant he has a light... but he could have a better light =)
I'm currently trying to justify a bunch of t5s to supplement my halides it never ends  |
I'm sure there are as many different justifications as there are fish-keepers.
If you're going to do it, do it right. I've already spent $XX, what's a little more. My fish really need the extra space. My spouse is away for the weekend, they won't notice. My corals really need better light. I'd probably just spend the cash on drugs/alcohol/sex or all three, not necessarily in that order. Etc, etc.... The list goes on and on....:twised: |
Why justify it? It's my money and I'll spend it on what I want. :D
|
I made a fish savings account. I save a bit from each pay cheque and use it for everything fish related. Seems to make me feel better about buying big things, because I know I can't do it often :P

My fish savings account and my regular savings account are the same one
