Royal gramma vs bicolor blenny

Just added a royal gramma and it's fighting with my bicolor blenny. They are about the same size and both are showing aggression towards the other. Will this settle down?

it mat or may not.......Im betting that it will settle down.....sometimes it just takes a couple days to establish who is boss....

mine fought for a bit too when i still had my bi-colour. they sorted out there differences eventually.

I hope so, not fun to watch!! The blenny just tossed the gramma in the frogspawn, now he's swimming sideways near the back of the tank.

it's a gramma what's he even doing out of the rocks lol?

He disappeared as soon as he went in the tank, checked an hour later and they are fighting. My blenny thinks he's a clown...and the clowns are getting involved too. The blenny is instigating the fighting now. Worse than kids....:twised:

Update

Seems like things have settled down this morning. A little bit of fighting, but it stopped after I fed them. Gramma on one side of the tank, blenny on the other.

My gramma and bicolor rarely ever fought. The only time really was territorial when the gramma would steal the bennies hole

I'm thinking it will settle over the next few days, not as bad as it was last night. Nobody is bothering the solar wrasse, except the clowns chase him away from the frogspawn, everyone is a bit territorial right now.

Grammas are generally passive.

Adding him near the end is a possible disaster in the making.

Good luck.
