Since announcing we will be bringing the Bubble Magus Hero to Canada there has been lots of talk as to whether we should go for the German rated (more expensive) pump options in the 180 and 220 or go for the slightly less performing but cheaper Atman.

So we are letting you decide!

Can it not be made available as an optional upgrade? And if not what are we talking about in terms of price difference vs gained performance?

Yep it is already an optional upgrade but we just want to see how the market feels in general. Pricing announced on Monday

Unexpected results so far, once I get the pricing it will be interesting to see if that changes

You know what I would REALLY like? A skimmer that sells the pump separately so that we can choose which pump we want to put on the skimmer! That would be AWESOME. The pumps can come with a fitting to mod the skimmer to whichever pump we choose. It doesn't have to allow the attachment of any pump, just pick a cheap pump, a mid-range pump, and a really good pump. Then we can upgrade at a later date if we choose, or if a pump fails. You will appease a much larger client base as well.

This is exactly what I am working on now with BM, the Hero where you choose the pump option based on your budget.

I will have an answer to this next week.

So based on poll results we have gone into full new product development with Bubble Magus for a complete new skimmer based on the Hero.
