LF: Red Sea Max 250 Replacement Parts (New or Used) - Calgary
 

Does anyone know if any of the Calgary or Edmonton LFS carry any RSM 250 replacement parts? If not, any other Canadian vendors? I recently purchased a used system and some of the equipment isn't working.

I'm specifically looking for the following:

Call red sea directly, they will be more than accommodating

Shoot Lee - I gave away or threw away some of those parts just recently. I still have my RSM250 but have replaced the skimmer (the stock skimmer really sucks BTW) and most of the fans.
BlueWorldAquatic is right on though - Red Sea has very good customer service and can get you whatever parts you want.

I had heard that about the skimmer and am planning on replacing it but I was hoping to use it initially just to save some money. Just curious what skimmer did you go with? I heard the Deltec MC500 was a good option.

Any other RSM 250 owner's have any suggestions?

It took some time to break in but is working great now.
The Deltec is a good choice also.
If you want the best skimmer options, you probably need to add a sump and run it in there. Plenty of guys have converted their RSM's to use a sump.

Thanks again Pat. Yeah, there are some mods I'd like to do to it in the future and converting it to use a sump is one of them.

I recently ordered 3 Red Sea Max 130 hood cooling fans from marine and reef - they sent 3 RSM 250 hood fans. They then sent me the correct fans and told me to keep the others as it would cost them even more to send them back. Yours at cost. Marine and reef is a good place to order from - delivery 7 to 9 days after order placed.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I do not need the whole skimmer assembly as I already have it. Just my skimmer pump isn't working. I don't really want to spend to much to get it working as I will probably replace it with a better skimmer. I am thinking the Deltec MC500 but I am still researching options. Thanks though.
