Good-bye
Well first of all let me just say it has been an absolute pleasure being a part of the ProReef team, assisting you all with questions, catching fish, inverts and corals and of course sharing stories and photos of your (and my) beloved tanks-and extended gilled families. I have an opportunity to move on from Progressive Reef to continue working with fish and lil’critters, not in a fish store setting, but in a more scientific setting at UVIC for the aquatics facility. Taking with me all I have learned at Progressive Reef the last few years. I thank you all for being such great people and more importantly devoted marine hobbyists and enthusiasts that have also educated me along the way. I will be departing the end of December, starting the New Year 2012 in a new place with new fish staring back at me begging for their lunch. :) I look forward to seeing you mingling about the local fish stores but of course back here at ProReef.
Home sweet home! Cheers Ronnie  |
Sounds like a really neat opportunity. Congrats and good luck!

Hey Ronnie,
We will have to equip your new Lab with a full range of New Era like we have Vancouver research center ;) Congrats, about time you put all that hard work into practice :) |
Thanks guys and yes Michael, i will be doing an inventory of what the new fish are eating and make some suggestions.
I gotta say, the new job/career is bitter/sweet, new place lots of cool fish and projects revolving round fish to be involved with, but no equitorial marine tanks, mostly local salty stuff and a few fresh ones too. I just may have to set up an office cube, tricked out with snazy lights, controllers and of course my beloved equitorial marine fish and corals! Now i just wonder which controller to go with:question:.......ha ha just jokin, GHL of course! You never know it just might lead to the aquatics facility seeing the capabilities of the GHL profilux and thinking about investing in some Profilux gear for the HUGE tanks they-i mean 'we have' up there! Cheers Ronnie |
What kind of role are you taking on?
|
GHL run many research centers, one of our installation companies in the USA have installed GHL into some really big fish research systems and also a medical reasearch center in Salt Lake City, GHL has a huge market in this area, so for sure we can easily meet your new facilities needs ;)
We also run the research system in Toronto Uni and also Boston Uni, then theres Peeling production zoo enclosures running GHL for all their reptile enviromentally controlled systems for rare frogs etc, the latest one going into Bermuda Zoo. I think we have you covered ;) |
Ronnie, you will be dearly missed by many in the hobby. Thank you for all your advice and assistance and I wish you well in your new career.
