Re: Calcium Hydroxide Available!

shao,

Do you know of a supplier for bulk dry calcium chloride and magnesium chloride?

mnoll406 02-15-2004 05:20 PM

Hey Shao,
Do you by any chance know what grade it is, or what % purity? You usually don't get that from the store bought either besides reef pure. The reason I ask, I use to work in a lab, and all chemicals we worked with had the % purity, and COA's, etc. A low grade product could have a lot of impurities, not always good. I would be interested in 2 kg if decent quality.

smokinreefer 02-16-2004 04:39 AM

it probably wont be such a good deal after ading shipping costs. but if anyone from calgary is heading out this way, i can certainly hold some for you guys... sorry bout that.

Bev, no i dont know of any supplier of calcium chloride or magnesium chloride.

Mike, it is codex grade... and i did have a fax of its composition at one point... i'll see if i can get another copy... FWIW this is the same stuff i have been using for a couple of years now.

Any ideas where you can buy some in Calgary?

smokinreefer 02-16-2004 06:02 AM

Lofus,
try looking for chemical distributors... though i dont htink they will sell to the public and usually require minimum orders.
