Some updates to my system...
 

It seems a little slow around here so I took some pictures.

Since my last posting the tank has cleared, I removed the SOS overflow and Tony and I drilled some bulkheads. Got a crack on one, but we repaired it :lol: It is solid now, plus when I add the overflow boxes, there will be no pressure on it and no water on it. I traced a black circle around a bubble in the silicone between the patch and the tank. If I push with my hand from inside, the bubble gets bigger. When I filled it up with water, the bubble size does not change.

Here's the sump. A 29g rubbermaid container....

And this thing. It's "legs" are sticking out the rock, many of them. Some are almost 1.5" long. They are yellow and black stripped. I've seen a couple of them.. Anyone know what it is? I couldn't get a closer picture...

Looks something like a bunch of spaghetti worms to me.

I like the rubbermaid sump,nice and simple.What is in the bucket that the pipes are going into,is it a diy filter?

It is a place to stick my carbon bags :) I originaly bought it when i had my planted tank. I was going to fill it with bio balls. I had the container, thought I'd better use it... I was going to use y 20g for a sump, but the dremel bit to drill it for a bulkhead was $16, the rubbermaid was $17.. I ended up cutting up and using the 20g to make my overflows ;)

I have those worms as well. They always seem to be in clumps. No idea what they are.

Some call those worms Spaghetti Worms. I took a picture when one was roaming around, and someone on another board said it was a Ball Of Yarn Worm. They are usually in the sand. :eek:

Looks good, one thing I'd do is move that timer and have it above the water if you can, other than that nice job. How did you drill the holes?

I'm getting around to running a dedicated circut. I have the stuff, just been buisy getting everything else done :) But yes, all my electricle will be above or out of the way of water. The hole were drilled with a 1 3/4" diamond bit (Thanks again Tony!)

busy?... no kidding.... lol.. I've got my 155 I JUST finally got up on the stand in the spot I'm hoping to keep it. Now I'll finish off the stand and make sure it's steady, then put in some base rock and sand and fill it up with fresh water for a few days to see how things run.
