Bullet skimmer keeps airlocking????
 

Hello all I hope u can help me on this one. I have a precision marine bullet 2 skimmer that keeps airlocking on me I assume and overflows. The collection
Cup I have which is supposed to guard against this apparently didn't and sprung a leak as well and tonight I received a call from wife saying it was leaking all over the floor. After calming her down and getting her to shut it off, I have received the ultimatum fix it or get rid of it. This skimmer works great when it works right and I don't really have the funds to replace it at the moment..... please help, suggestions, ideas I'm ready to try anything......Thanks guys

I think Doug said something about having that problem and this was how he fixed it.

I've been running these skimmers for a few years and I've never had the issue. You can kind of see my output plumbing from this old pic... I can take another after work this evening but I'm in a bit of a hurry right now. (I had just fed something oily so that is why the foam head has collapsed)

Thank u once again R.... Greatly appreciated I had to top off this morning think about 5 gallons made the great escape onto the floor thank god the wife has paid enough attention she at least knew how to shut the skimmer off. Well off to bed then i will be heading to a. Sheret for all mh plumbing needs here's hoping it works
