OVERFLOW MOD HELP

I am moding my over flow on the 300, does anyone know if I can use this kind of mesh to cover the overflow or would it leak chemical into the tank. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thankshttp://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...s/82f94848.jpg

I have used that in my tank for the past year no issues.

Thanks for the feed back, just curious what types of coral do you keep in your tank?
