Black Eggcrate
 

I am looking to buy black eggcrate, I heard aquarium illusion, HD, and Rona carry it but I search them all and none of them did. Can anyone tell me where I can find some in Edmonton please. Thanks.

Buy white and spray paint it??
White is easy to find I can't recall EVER seeing black (not that I've been looking either)
Lots of people seem to use krylon fusion paint with no ill effects

That is what I am doing, a lot of people spray paint egg-crate.

You can get it at the Ceiling Centre. They don't usually stock it but they will special order it for you. I think they said it takes about a week to arrive.

My $0.02 .. A couple years back I was bent on finding black eggcrate so I called around all the local lighting suppliers and eventually found some, at something like $20 a sheet. Whereas the white at Rona is something like $2 a sheet (maybe not exactly that but you get the idea). A can of Krylon Fusion paint can be found at Canuck Tire for a probably $5-10 and many people have used Krylon Fusion under the waterline without issue. If I ever needed black eggcrate again I'd just make my own.

i don't see a point in getting black, sure white looks ugly at first but once it gets covered in coraline it'll be purple in the end :lol: that goes for the black one as well

i have seen the black at totem before.. but not for quite a while... but i do agree with the "its going to end up purple regardless of clolor" statement.

The paint will come off after a year or two in my experience. I buy black eggcrate from Bulk Reef Supply. White eggcrate is $12/sheet here, paying a little extra for black doesn't hurt my feelings.
