A day made of glass
This video has 15 million views so it's hardly new, but I'm sure there are some people that haven't seen it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cf7IL_eZ38 I don't think we will be building tanks with this stuff anytime soon, but I work in the technology industry and it's easy to see that this is the direction that we are headed. Moore's law hasn't failed us yet. - Brad |
Pretty darn cool stuff.
"Mom... I can't get the Fridge to talk to my desk!" "Oh honey LG Glass can't talk to your desk it's Sony Glass and only plays nice with other Sonys!" If we could trust this much glass to all the hoodlums running around and open-source software becomes standard this would be pretty neat... |
Very cool, something for the Rich and Famous to have.

I've watched the video a number of times today, but I just figured out why it appeals to me. It's all about the phone!
Everything else is just an interface. Your computer at work is just a keyboard, video and mouse. Same with your computer at home. The processing power is in the phone and it simply docks wherever you go. Apple may have opened the door, but their competitors have taken notice. Take a look at Windows 8. They are trying to merge their desktop and mobility platform. Google bought Motorolla. RIM is losing market share but increasing it's user base. The cellular network is about to become faster than the wired network (LTE). Everything is connected. |
:shocked!: is it real? :shocked!:omg I wish I was rich
