Stocking Profilux Controllers for LED Control

We will be stocking the Profilux Controller range as of today. Very happy to bring this range on board to give the ultimate in LED fixture control. Profilux has awesome controllablity for sunrise, sunset, moonlight control, storms, cloudy days etc.

We are starting with just 3 of their products at the moment (but we can order any for you). Really all you need is 2 products the controller itself and an EVG-AP-2F to connect your LED drivers too it. However the power bar is a great addition to switch the power off to drivers at night and use the computer to control all sorts of equipment in your tank.

Prices on the website are the lowest we are allowed to display, set by the manufacturer so you are not going to see it cheaper anywhere else :)

SWEET DEAL Martin, that make me even happier to go LEDs

Its great to have Martin onboard with GHL :)

For a long time now GHL profiLux has been the number 1 choice for LED control and it makes perfect sense to have a one stop shop for everyone looking for cutting edge control for their systems.

We look forward to supporting Modular LED.

So I was checking out the site today Martain & I have a question about the control board for Profilux. Does this board go into the controller unit itself or do you mount it separate?

Aqua-Digital 09-07-2011 10:33 PM

I can answer this.

I assume you are talking baout the EVG card?

This is external and requires a safe mounting area or box as it commands the 110V supply line for the drivers.

To explain further the function of this PCB interface

The EVG card has two purposes.

The first purpose is to act as a 0 Volt switching circuit, this means when the 0-10V DC signal input reaches 0VDC the 110V relays are switched off meaning your drivers and lamp becomes 110V isolated for true off and safety.

The other purpose is to act as an interface between the GHL ProfiLux controller and your drivers 0-10V control circuit.

The power cables from the driver and the dimming cables from the driver all connect to the EVG card. The EVG card then connects to an L port on the profilux controller with the supplied cable.

It controls 2 channels per EVG card (bascially 2 colors, white and blue) and you can have 3 Mean Well drivers per channel.

It needs to be mounted in a water tight area since the unit its self is not water proof. So you would just house it separately and use some of our connection extenders to run power down to the LEDs

Ok I get it, thanks guys. I have a Profilux 2EX, 1 regular power bar & a dimmable power bar. Is the dimmable bar useable in this situation at all?

Aqua-Digital 09-08-2011 01:37 AM

No, the drivers are 0-10V dc signal dimmed

The Grizz 09-08-2011 01:58 AM

I see.....so the dimmable bar is only good for T5 with dimmable ballasts then?

I have 2 dimmable T5 ballasts & WP end caps but don't want to use any T5s any longer.
