I just found this lil guy in a pocci I picked up a week ago. Hes about 3/4" from leg to leg spread. Should I keep him and let it live or get rid of it?

what a cool looking crab. I know most people here are terrified of them, but unless I know it's a kind that eats SPS polyps, I almost never kill my hitchhikers.

Thats just it... He looks cool with a purple body and orange legs... But if hes gonna be a coral eater then hes gone... My tank is very low on bio-diversity since my crash so it would be nice if hes a good guy

No hair right? Usually it's the hairy ones that cause trouble.

If you were local I'd say come feed him to my octopus :)

Certainly a good looking crab, no idea on ID though :)

I have had a pair of those before in a Seriatopora. It's fine.

Safe, keep him.

Safe? Those look like the claws of a meat eater.....

You know how I feel. Nuff said!

naw, he looks fine... ther are some crabs that stay tiny and live in coral frags eating pods and such... worst case is you catch him and throw him in your sump if you have one! I have a few customers that come and bring me crabs from time to time! they mostly get sumped and help keep things in check down below!
