Fairy wrasse: white top lip?
 

i have a fairy wrasse in quarantine and it seems to get a white mark on its upper lip. but i only see it sometimes.

is this normal for it to come and go like that?

It is common that small wrasse damage their mouth/lip area by smashing it against the plastic shipping bags. It is possible that is what you see. Watch for any redness or cottony stuff which is fungus.

it seems like the white spot comes and goes

My fairy has the exact same thing , has had it from day 1 , and comes and goes from day to day.The fish is great, has always eaten had it for months so i wouldn't worry about it.
