Heads up BC Hydro
 

Hello Everyone in BC, just a quick head up as Hydro will be replacing our meters over next little while. At least Hydro will let us know before they change the meter, which was not the case when Corix (BC Hydro Subcontractor) did when they replaced the power pole outside of my house. I was on vacation at the time and the tank was without power for over 3 hours luckily my nephew was there to help.

thanks for the heads up, Ive been lucky i have yet to experience a power outage while my tank has been running.

Hmm... thats good to know. In our local newspaper they said it will be only a 10 minute job.

BC Hydro sent us a letter in the mail about this a few months ago. They said they would be starting in Vancouver first and then working their way up the coast.

They just replaced all the meters in Airdrie last fall.

The job takes about 5 minutes, and the power was out for all of 20 seconds when they did ours.
