Anybody able to drill a tank?

I just have a 170 freshwater I want to install a drip system on. Just need a bulkhead between half and inch and an inch drilled on the side of my tank. Anybody have the technology to do this? I will pay obviously.

.5 to 1.0 inch is pretty small. Is that the size of the bulkhead or the desired hole size?My smallest bit will yield a whole just under 1.250" We are talking about a glass tank right?

Talking bulkhead yep. Size I am not really fussy as the drip will be slow. And yes we are talking glass.

I could maybe do you a 5/8" which is good for installing float valves. Or lend you the bit and you can do it yourself (it's not hard, we can go over the how-to's if you wanted to borrow it). LMK :)

Thats awesome! I'm going to get some today.

Does anyone know off hand the hole sizes for different bulkheads? 3/4", 1", 1.5", 2" bulkheads etc.

If not RoNA has those "Green: bits too.

Depends if you do schedule 40 or schedule 80 bulkheads because the wall thickness is different, but the typical black bulkheads are schedule 40 (schedule 80 is grey usually).

For schedule 40 this is what I think I know:

For a 1" bulkhead the hole required is 1-3/4".

1.5" needs 2 - 3/8"

2" needs 3"

3/4" needs 1 - 1/2"
