While not directly relavent , I have a similar experience with Superior propane her in Yellowknife. I was on a pay as you use plan for a long time and finally decided to investigate a fixed plan with them and ended up saving 35 - 40% on my annual heating costs. I'm sure if you went to the office and sat down with someone, that they could give you different options that would shed light on the possible savings. If memory serves me, my rate went from 1.03 /l to .61/l .
Something to check into IMO.
