leds to grow cheato

So ive acquired a ball of cheato last month and have had it in a temporary refugium. Currently its lit with just a bookshelf light which seems to be working for now. I want to make an acrylic box with overhead leds however im unsure of which leds to use and how many ill need. The acrylic box will be around 14"x14"x14". Ive been looking at crees white leds XP or XR series of cool/warm whites.

-how many would i need?
-which style or series led would be perfered?
-would i gain anything by adding a color combination rather than just white leds.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm growing, along with lots of others, Chaeto with a 23W CFL. Would think a started point for the number of LED would be what would give you the equivalent wattage.

my CFL is 6500K and bought some replacement LED bulbs for my range hood that are cool white (6500K), wondering if you can get by just on white LEDs (not needing to mix in reds and blues for Chaeto growth)
