I have a female blue throat triggerfish for sale or trade. $30

I just tried adding a larger male to the same tank as the female. Here is a link to the thread.

The female is not aggressive to any of my other fish, but she didn't like the male. I would be hesitant to try something like this.

It seems like your BT trigger is changing to a male. It has a hint of blue on it's throat and is the exact same situation as mine. I had a female that I tried to pair up with no luck, 3 weeks later it's turning into a male completely. A female blue throat should have no signs of blue at all under their chin. If there is any blue, it's going to turn into a male.

The store that sold this trigger sold it as a male. The picture is about a year old now. The blue has dissapeared and the brown/red is more pronounced on the tail.

I thought triggers weren't supposed to be hermaphroditic. Darn it, now I have to know and will spend countless minutes googling like crazy when I SHOULD be working on work stuff. Thanks a LOT piusma!!! :p
