raccoon or copperband butterfly
which one is the better majano eater? im too the point where i may just get both and hope for the best. But just wondering which everybody else would suggest.
|
Not sure which is better for eating Majanos...
My Raccoon got rid of every nuisance nem in my tank within a week or so & by the time I introduced a Copper Band I had none left. However, a Raccoon may be a better bet as they're less delicate & easier to feed than Copper Bands once you have no nems left. Have you thought about an Aiptasia Zapper instead? . |
theres just to many and alot of them are in places i cant get to with a zapper, my tank is 110 gallons with a 77 gallon sump with a very low bio load, would there be enough water volume to accomodate 1 of each?
|
also, ive heard that raccoons go after pretty much all nems, if this is accurate would it eat a large carpet nem?
|
Never had a carpet nem, but my BTA & Condy co-habit with those butterflies with no issues. But I guess I got lucky as raccoons do tend to pick at most nems.
You should be fine with those 2 in the same tank but the raccoon can sometimes be aggressive towards smaller butterflies (mine picked on my long nose quite a bit). . |
