Anybody using Calcium Chloride and Soda Ash from Bulk Reef Supply?
 

Just wondering how many ml of each you're dosing for your reef.
I'm up to 315 ml of Calcium Chloride and 360 ml of Soda Ash per day in my 90 gal. I have quite a few large corals and 2 clams and lots of coralline, but this seems to be quite high to me.

If your tank is heavily stocked that seems pretty normal to me.

Us reefers are weird. We want our corals to grow and when they do we question the amount of Ca and Alk used. :crazy:

That's what I use, was dosing 100 ml on the 300 and was maintaining levels fine. going to up it tho as growth has slowed.

I have a 55 gallon with many frags, a couple of small colonies,2 mid sized clams, & I'm @ 57 ml of each per day. I was surprised when I first found this kept my paras. stable for a week. It's reassuring to see others having the same questions.

Lance how much of each do you mix up with a gallon of RO?

63ml of each per day for me.

Ya that's pretty much the standard RHF recipe. I guess you just have healthy corals with good uptake. I don't personally dose 2 part, I just use it if I need to tweak things so I can't give you a comparison. I am a kalk guy for the time being until my corals get big enough that kalk isn't enough and then I will have to decide either reactor or 2 part.
