quik disconnect on a Vertex
 

Had a brutal day at work, bought a new Vertex from J&L hoping to set it up (you know, therapeutic evening) and i am fighting with the stupid fitting to put the ro membrane in. Any tips on how to remove the hoses from the quick disconnects? I have removed the clip and should just be able to pull it out, no?:sad:

I don't want to break it just reefing on it, any tips would be great!

Pull the lock ring off then push in on the outside of the connector, pull on the hose it should release.
