broke in 14K pics
well 100 hours on the 14K bulbs and some more pics.
I am overall impressed with the look of this bulb to me it looks like the radium, but seing that it is a 14K bulb I think it is to blue for its rating. maybe we should call it a 18K bulb  one thing to note I adjusted the overall color so that the corals look like they would if you were here looking at them but this lowered the amount of blue you would see in the water and sand and such.. anyways here are a few pics http://members.shaw.ca/s.l.s/temppics/14K/corals.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/s.l.s/temppics/14K/corals1.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/s.l.s/temppics/14K/corals2.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/s.l.s/temppics/14K/corals3.jpg Steve |

Not a bad colour temp. I think I would have to see it in person though.
You've really got some nice corals going on now. My home display is looking a little empty. *cough* ahem. |
cough ahem.. yeah.. mine too... hint hint.. ya know.. I think after looking at that tank, most tanks would look a bit.. anemic...

Doug, group order?

What kind of coral is in your second pic? Is it a table?
|
Nice pics steve.. tank is looking good.. something is telling me if you are saying that is "too blue" you have colour corrected the photos in some way.. Did you change W/B?

Adam, yest I used a custom white ballance to remove the blue glow but keep the coral colors. other than that all I did was resize. Smokin, I also run two 36" VHO for actinic (actualy one is a NO right now as Brad and I broke one of my VHOs trying to put a coral in the tank in the spring. Steve |
