But for anyone who’s been through for a loop by Jake & Guin’s truly masterful April Fool’s Prank, rest assured the “other” 2010 Lightning Maroon, the one that DIDN’T appear on April 1st, was no joke, no prank, and is very real. Any doubters should ask me how I faked this (which of course, I can’t answer because it’s legit):

Defiantly not a joke! There are multiple lightning pairs in his facility. Shouldnt be long until we see them available to the public.

Matt has the only true lightning clown known to exist, the others are PNG (Papua New Guinea) clowns that were collected in the same area when the sea smart program was still being funded by the PNG government. The other PNG clowns are just regular Maroon clowns with normal striping.

I believe Matt is attempting to make the lightning maroon female and breed with one of the PNG clowns to increase his chances of reproducing the genetic anomaly/lightning effect.

Give his blog a read, I have found it pretty fascinating and he keeps it updated quite regularly.

I can't imaging the cost of these fish if they make it to market.

SeaHorse_Fanatic 02-23-2011 08:41 PM

Well the original one went to the breeder for $2500US I believe.
