wondering if anyone knows what type of gorgonian this is-or if its a coral

Looks like a cornation coral (Dendronephthya Sp.) to me...
but in quite rough shape..

?
 

i'ts not a carnation-i have a bunch of carnations in my tank that are spreading-this one is also growing and has adhered part of itself to the rock.at first i thought it was a sea whip but it feels woody like a soft twig, and lots of pollups come out but only at the ends of the stems
