Droopy Candycane coral

The soft tissue part of my candycane coral has gone droopy. It looks as if it is melting or if it was made from dough and is being pulled down by gravity. Do you know what could cause this problem? Should I remove it from my tank?

A term called polyp bailout. Fairly common with this type of coral.

Ya, it a good thing, kinda. Nobody is sure why it does it, so as long as your water quality is fine, it's almost for sure a good thing. Some people were actually able to raise colonies from the drippings. My pectinia did this after I moved it, and it was fine.
