Ressurection
Its been a fun filled 6 weeks!
A week before Christmas Art and I went to grab a coffee. It was a nice walk. As soon as we opened the door it was obvious by the smell of something shorting out that something was wrong. We walked into the fish room and there was water everywhere. All we could say was OMFG.. To quote Art.. Its the bottom and that female dog is going to leak out to the last drop. No pics for the rest of the night, it was a little tense. the next morning. We put a level on the stand, everything was still level. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...IMG_0654-1.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...d/IMG_0648.jpg Brad came the next moring and took all the fish, most of the acros and a wack of LPS home. Im so thankful that he had just set up a big tank and had alot of room in it. I took the sump tank out and modified the plumbing to hold some rock and my ricordea. I had an old T5 strip for light.. atleast it kept the mushrooms and some rock alive. Some of the rock i wanted to use again was bleached to kill the aptaisa and algea and was put in a 55 gallon bin to cook. After 4 weeks i bought a few pieces of newly harvested live rock to seed it. The rest of the rock is sitting in a bin outside on the deck. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...IMG_0651-2.jpg The zoas and some LPS were scrunched into my frag tank. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...a/IMG_0680.jpg fast forward about 2 weeks and the new tank was delivered. After letting it cure for a week a defect in the bottom was discovered, sooo back to the shop for a new bottom. Fast forward another 2 weeks. Since we had the time, we repainted the stand. The sump was put back in and the skimmer put back online. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...a/IMG_0684.jpg Starting to fill it up.. that was pretty much a sleepless night waiting for it to blow lol http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...a/IMG_0721.jpg Im going to transfer the corals slowly. I have a bunch of extra rock stacked in the middle that is coming out after im sure its stable http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...a/IMG_0754.jpg Mt. VeZOOvias http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...a/IMG_0748.jpg Ricordea Cove http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...a/IMG_0753.jpg At this point both ends are basically done, now to do the whole middle:mrgreen: |
