grumble ...

I gotta vent .... just gotta say that when a 24" anemone decides it's time for a spawn ... it makes for one heck of a mess to clean up at 1am.. Yes ... um ... Merry Christmas to you too, Mr. Anemone ....

"Is that burnt toast that I smell?? Ohhhhhhh that's not toast."

Ahhhh Ritteri!

My carpet spawned a few night's ago Tony. Made for quite the cloudy tank

"Strive for the optimum enivronment, not just the basic requirement" or something like that...

Somewhere in between seems to work pretty good.

The LTA went for a walk last week, but no spawning, thank-you.

Cloudy tank, BTA spawn Christmas Day. Weird.

Ok, that's just far too coincidental. New moon was somewhere around Christmas Eve I think, so there might be something with that. And of course solstice on the 21st, although I don't really know if solstices and equinoxes have any bearing (photoperiods for sure, but tides? dunno).

Of course maybe it's just something else entirely! But that's weird, three events within 2-3 days of each other ..... they're tuned into something.

Coincidence indeed,

The same night my Bi-color Blennie decided to swim "upstream" and check out the inside of a small powerhead providing circulation in the QT tank where he is presently housed.

First time in a year that he decided to do something like that, made all the more distressing when my wife in a panic ended up rotating the turbine even more while trying to dislodge him!

We have no idea how long he was stuck for, but other than a ring of bruise all around his body behind the gills he seems alright!

Strange night for all!

Rob
