Lines in the sand

I did a search for this with no luck. It seems over night something is making lines in my sand bed and on my live rock. Tank is 28gal about 6 weeks old.

Is this any better. I do have 2 astria but I only ever see them on the glass or live rock. I will have to do some night searches.

Some type of worm digging a tunnel maybe.

Fine sand clings or sticks to some of those tiny worms in the sandbed there might be worms in those 'lines'? Sometime in my tank the flow will unearth them and there is stuff stuck to them.

take a flashlight at night after lights have been out for about an hour and man you will see all sorts of weird stuff come outa nowhere .Try it tonight youll brobably find worms but might be something else .

If you have a red LED it works great, nothing goes into hiding, it's creepy stalker mode.

They're just little worms that "feed" on the sand in the sandbed. They take what they need from the sand and then when they crap out the sand it sticks together in those little tubes, providing them with a protective home. They're harmless and contribute to your sandbed fauna

Thanks everyone. I have a red led I can try, great idea ! Glad to hear they are harmless !
