Dentist office tank (motivating)
Well, maybe not entirely motivating/inspiration, but worth a laugh.
I was at my dentists office this morning, and saw this masterpiece. Here's some crappy pics from my phone.. you get the idea http://www.digitallyblue.com/forum-pics/aiptasia-2.jpg http://www.digitallyblue.com/forum-pics/aiptasia-1.jpg |
That's one puuurrrdddy tank ya got there!!!!
I think the maintenance person should probably be fired. |
Did it have any fish in it?
|
Did you offer to help? I would have.
|
beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe the Dentist is proud of his aiptasia rock?
|
Oh dear.... there used to be a 29g biocube like that in the grocery store here and last time I was in I was relieved to see it converted to FW (tho - goldfish, not exactly permanent residents in a tank that size but it is a step easier than marine)
edit: Could they be yellow polyps?? (wishful) |
do wonder if they maintain it themselves or paying for a service, but here's me talking with my bryosis farm. Might have to give the guy a break though, could be yellow polyps.
|
Those looks like yellow polyps to me. I say that while my own bryopsis farm sways in the current.
|
oh.. okay.. um.. excuse me while I go mow down my yellow polyp farm..
|
No they are not yellow polyps. My camera didn't get the best pics, but they are definitely aiptasia... I missed a photo of a cluster of a dozen growing on the glass.
On a side note, they are paying for maintenance. I shouldn't name names :) |
