Chalice question
 

If one buys a chalice frag does it need rock to encrust? For example if it is put on the bottom of the tank should you place a piece of rock next to it to expand onto?

depends on the type of chalice as far as I know. Some are encrusting and others are plating corals...I'd look into the actual type of chalice and go from there
