Mold in skimmer air silencer
 

Anyone else ever see this? I just noticed it now and I'll have to give the thing a good rinse but I was surprised to see it. Humid air is a mold's best friend I suppose. This is on my SWC...the silencer is see-through and in between the two rigid tubes there it is growing.

yeah mine clogs up with salt and a bit of greyish black stuff which I assume is mold. I just rinse it out every month and it seems to be fine. Odd place for it to grow but yeah I would imagine it gets kind of humid and never really dries out with all the salt in there.
