crab caught!
 

I finally caught a hitch hiker coral eating crab :twised: I've been after for a few years.....yeah! He's grown pretty big at the expense of many corals and now lives in my sump and is welcome to eat all the detritus it wants.

Ugly bugger. I never knew there were crabs that eat coral. Looking at his claws I would guess he probably would go after other stuff as well!?!?

Crabs are very opportunistic feeders. They will eat pretty much anything they can get their claws on. I will never keep another crab in my tanks, including the cute little Hermits.

Ugh, coral eating crabs are the worst!! Congrats on catching him, I wouldn't have been so nice as to his final home :razz:
