Decided on Rainford - Closed

I was always under the impression, for unknown reasons, that the Rainford Goby was a sand sifting fish. Now other info I have seen tells me it is not.

I swear my last Rainford DID sand sift.... but it has been a few years and now I wonder if my mind is foggy.

Any thoughts or suggestions on effective sifters that are also nice looking.

I have seen the run of the mill stuff so I am seeking creative suggestions if you know what I mean.

Thanks.

Hectors goby is a nice little fish that sifts. I have a couple yellow head sleeper gobies that are cool fish, they get pretty big tho.

My Kole does all the sand sifting I'll ever need. I had a bit of a diatom outbreak which I think was part of the new rock thing. He kept eating it off the sand/releasing the bubbles. The outbreak got stopped short and my sand looks really good. He even spot cleans rubble and shells in the sand!

Had a Sleeper Gold Head Goby that sure went through the sand and what a pain. Would grab a mouthful float up then sift sand all over the LR and corals I had at the time. Sand did stay nice and white though.

LOL he has been good to me till I came home tonight... There was sand from the top to the bottom :) I just come in once a night with a turkey baster and clean up the corals. Sand bed is nice and "fluffy"

There's some nice dragon gobies in the store that are more white than normal and we got in one hector's, they're both nice looking fish. Actually, I think I snapped some pics of them tonight. I'll check.

Hector's Goby and Rainford's Goby both sift. They both do a good job, and don't make too much mess like some other Gobies. I have a Hector's in my tank.

Here's some pics I took tonight at the store.
