Today I took Nate up on his invite to have look at their new stuff. I cannot say I was terribly impressed. Not much has changed. The live rock looks crappy and is priced high. I did pick up some money (or ring) Cowries. Saw that very impressive Mantis, and heard Evan has the other one.
Then I went to Ocean. It was still very clean (and Deb I only saw one Anemone and it was on its last legs). There were some nice fish. The live rock looks very nice, and was not too expensive. It looks like Fiji, so would be light and porous. Picked some rubble for $6.00/lb, and one of those Coralife skimmers for $21.99. It should fit nicely in my CPR refugium.
The went to Wai's, and it has not changed. A few dead fish in the tanks. Then a customer lit a cigarette, and I was out of there like a shot, and went to Peters" :2gunfire:

You paid what for a skimmer...? :eek: . I've got an old Visi-Jet protein skimmer I woulda' paid ya' to take !
I'm lookin' for a pair of dead Racoon Butterflies. Did ya' see how much they are selling for...? :sad: .
It's good to know there's still a few places around where the smoker can indulge eh Kari ? :lol:

This was that little counter current skimmer of which SamW had a picture. It will fit in an Aquaclear 200. In addition I already had an Optima pump sitting around gathering dust. So I figured, "why not try it"

what wrong with the skimmer?I'm looking for a cheap skimmer untill i can aford a good one.

Jim, there's nothing wrong with it. It's just a small skimmer. I don't have a use for it. Ya' want it ? I'll trade ya' for a six pack of Corona or somethin'...
