Modular piping outside water?
 
Can the modular piping found here:

be used outside of the water? Im doing a new return line and I need the first couple inches to be outside of the water.

If it's a couple inches above the tank (where if it drips it will enter the tank) and right before it exits the plumbing I don't see why not. I have done this before without issue. After a year I had a tiny little bit of salt creep around the joints that's it.

Be careful workin on the tank tho. Depending on the angles if you bumped the locline and snapped a few links off it could be aimed out the tank.

Given that this product was originally used for directing coolant at tools, I would think it is okay out of the water!

Now, we all know that salt will creep if it gets the chance, so, watch for that.

Or, look at using http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/...ular-hose.html This will let you go from hose, to Loc-Line. Just need to put a clamp on it. Then away you go.
