MP40W ES Ecosmart Upgrade

Not 100% sure where to put this but I think the driver on my MP40W just burnt out, its plugged into the wall but I'm getting no colored lights it just stays dark and the pump doesn't go on.

If I purchase the upgrade will this fix my problem? Also no one in Calgary has them and J&L seems to be back ordered, anyone have any idea where to get these?

Give Wendall at Oceans Aquatics a call 1 800 605 0914 Thats where I got my unit from. Not on his site but he ordered it in for me.

You could also try contacting Ecotech customer service directly. They are very helpful in terms of trouble shooting. If it needs replacing then you will likely have to go through a Canadian dealer but if it is fixable they can probably help you.

Check the hardware buy/sell forum, if you're looking for a used MP40W driver (not ES model), I've got a recent post there.

When I had a noisy dry side, I called Ecotech directly... They were great to deal with and sent me a new one and I had it within the week. Even better was that I just had to return the defective one to the LFS where I bought it, so it saved me shipping.

I would give them a call, but before you do, have you tried a reset?

Kevin @ Red Coral had one that was supposedly deffectlive, but when I did the reset, voila!!! it was good again. Being that there are no lights, it is probably dead, but you never know.

Well after getting a good fix tip from Bob (Codfather), I have fixed my problem. Seems to be just a loose power cord, thanks for all the tips guys!

Glad it worked, sometimes it's not that simple.
