Zoos for whatever.
My first coral was a zoo rock for which one of local shops charged me $80.00. This continues to grow at a goodly rate. The color is basically fluorescent green tentacles on a Dark maroon field with a greenish center. However, under my CSL actinic the tentacles are fluorescent orange. Right now I have two four inch rocks available. These rocks can be split. The mother colony can also be split up. Some could also be scraped from rocks they have grown onto. As can readily be seen there are lots available. I have sold some to local people, so this $80.00 rock is becoming less expensive.
http://members.shaw.ca/rcipema/Z001.jpg Here is a picture of one of the rocks that is for sale. It is under actinic light. My eye saw fluorescent orange, but my camera did no see it that way. :frown: http://members.shaw.ca/rcipema/Z002.jpg The mother colony with offspring to the left. http://members.shaw.ca/rcipema/Z003.jpg Another attempt under actinic light.. It obviously did not work. See Alan's picture below. Once again he did much better :frown: , Thanks aAan |
Send me a note regarding costs there boB...
I phoned the people at Webster and they were unable to define the word "goodly" ? Is this perhaps a spelling error ? Perhaps a result of your lack of interest in school, way back when.... Isn't there an a in fluorescent ? |
You spelt (rhymes with smelt) his name backwards again...
What are Zoos? |
Got pics? What are you looking to get for them? Cash or frags?

Hey Bob,
Would be interested in a small colony, ie. 10 polyps. Mike PS what type of lighting do they like? I've had one colony get really pale. Just moved it to a shadier area and see what happens. |

I will try to post some pictures of the colors under different lighting in a short while, and they will cost $20.00 if you want the bigger rock, and $10.00 if I have to split them depending on demand. That is fair I think. |
