How to frag corals?

Specifically a finger leather, which is growing straight towards my sun coral. Please let me know what I could do to trim it without hurting/killing it. A link to point me to the right direction will also be of help.

Step one take out "frag-o-scissors" and snip...

Step two, use rubber band, or like or just jam it between some rocks and secure it..

Step three.. all done..

Here is a link http://www.garf.org/ under propogating.

It would be a good idea to put a bag of carbon in your system for a few days to help absorb any chemicals released from the fragged coral, also.
