Durso Standpipe Removal
I'm getting close to setting up my 90 gal with corner overflow.
I have threaded bulkheads and want to know how you would ever remove the durso standpipe once it is glued in. There isn't enough room to turn it once the T is glued in. Am I missing anything.. |
simple, don't glue.
for mine, I have the threaded adapter (TA) into the bulkhead, from there everything is slip fit. It's the drain so even if leaked, no big deal. |
Mine isnt glued in either it I just shoved the pipe in really good.

durso
i made mine so that the top can come off for cleaning-the bottom is glued on the bulkhead

Didn't glue mine either at the durso fitting or at the bottom where it fit into the threaded fitting to the bulkhead. Its handy to remove various parts to get critters out of the overflow when needed.
