for those of you who like unusual reef inhabitants. big als has some hippopus hippopus clams. they are butt ugly but i considered getting one just cuz you dont come accross them often. just thought i'd let u know.

the richmond store has one, 5-6" $69. coq, is supposed to have a couple. dont know how big or how much.

Be careful with these 'big boy' clams. They will quickly out grow your tank and you may have problems finding new homes for them.

If you are considering getting one do your research first (reference Giant Clams by Knop) and buy a BIG tank with plenty of bottom plate support.

i passed on the hippo cuz it was just too ugly! i might swing by the other store and see if theirs looks any nicer.

i am actually looking for a gigas, but no one sells them.

i would be more than willing to dedicate a 2'x 2' area of my tank for it, if i can ever get my hands on one.

so if any one ever sees one, please let me know!!
