does the mesh-mod used for pellets work for carbon or phosphate remover or does it still let too much crap through?

need to clean the pads out today and just wondering.


hell i should just pony up and go get some pellets while i'm doing it.

i think the whole is too big and it will let the carbon and phosphate passing through
