chemical confusion
 

SO, in the last three days I have added a new 240 gal display with 150 lbs of base rock to my 120 gal basement tank with 120 lbs of live rock and a 120 gal sump. Everything looked ok and test ok until arriving home from work today.
Here are my test numbers, and my confusion begins.

ca 640 mg/l
ph 8.06
sal 1.026
kh 170 mg/l or 9.46 dkh

Skimmer refuses to skim and just fills with water. All my little pals are looking not so good.Ideas? Large water change of what? It must be the base rock messing thing up.
