So how would you like to find one of these fellas on your fish ? Read this from another forum. Kinda surprised it went unnoticed.

Eww that's pretty gross:redface:

Isopods. They're easy to catch at night. A freinds tank had alot of them in it and after a week of trapping them in a cup with food in it at lights out he managed to get rid or them all.
 Good to know what an isopod looks like. I thought they were a lot smaller then that.
They are a lot smaller and a TON bigger.

Thats a fat sucker.
I've only ever seen pictures in books. That is one freaky looking parasite.
Freaky thing is they can be anywhere from almost microscopic to 30cm long! Yuck! lol.
Most of the small isopods in your tank are beneficial scavengers and do not harm fish. There are species like this that are fish parasites. But trying to remove all the isopods from your tank is probably not necessary.

i had a bunch that i caught by putting a piece of shrimp in a glass in the tank but mine were way smaller
