Anyone know anything about Dichloromethane?
I was going to use this chemical to weld plexi together. Has anyone used it before? Its not going to kill the fishies is it?
|
If you let it set it shouldn't be a problem.
Here is an MSDS http://msds.chem.ox.ac.uk/DI/dichloromethane.html |
holy cow, that link basically says if you use the stuff, you will die, lol
|
SHould read the MSDS on a lot of common household products. Would scare you

Try not to breath in to much of the fumes and you'll be alright. Let the acrylic cure for a few days and it will be safe for your fish etc. Dichloromethane is pretty volatile and will evaporate quickly.

I've used that a lot in the past and it works just as well as Weldon 3. I used to work in a Physics lab and we used it as a drying agent so i used to get as much as I wanted. Now, I find it a lot easier to get Weldon 3 !
