Peanut worm maybe?

globaldesigns 05-03-2010 05:02 AM

Hmmmm, I don't know! tagging along to see, it sure isn't a bristle worm

could be a peanut but they normally have a brown mottled look.

Possibly a peanut worm but these (I found a second, smaller one as well) look like a small piece of artery or intestine. A white worm like bit protrudes from the main part and 'looks' around and seems to aid in movement and quickly retreats when disturbed.

The other discerning feature is on the other end, it has a small cone that reminds me of the tail-end of a fighter's jet engine.

Are peanut worms harmful or beneficial ?

No one's ever seen this thing before ? Gee....I thought I'd pitched an easy one.

Well, if it's that rare, I'll have to assume it's bad and flush 'em.

I'll go with peanut worm as well. In which case, it is harmless...helpful even.
